Islamic fundamentalists can not be appeased. Neither can Christian Fundamentalists, or Jewish Fundamentalist. The operative word is Fundamentalist.
We fight a religious war in Iraq, as well as a oil war. Islamic fundamentalist are very much like the American Indian, watching a largely Christian/Capitalistic society changing their world for the worse -- and like the Native American, they are called savage for fighting back.
